Turning Wine to Water a Grand Success!
Ingomar Living Waters, a ministry of Ingomar United Methodist Church, held its eighth Turning Wine into Water event at the Clemente Museum/Engine House 25 on April 13. The event raised a total $170,000 to bring the gift of clean water to the world. Many lives will be changed!
The highlight of the evening was the auction for well projects and water filters. We had a group of World Changers who, in advance of the event, had agreed to match funded wells by funding a second well of the same size. The crowd responded with incredible generosity! Including the matches, nineteen wells were funded for a total of $78,000. We hoped to raise funds to pay for 500 water filters; we ended up funding 523!
A group of 20 volunteers from our church made sure that things flowed smoothly all night long! They did an absolutely amazing job! It was the Body of Christ in action. The Holy Spirit was, indeed, dwelling among us! Praise God for an incredible evening!
