God’s Word assures us of an Abundant Life through him.

As you give thanks for God’s abundant blessings, consider making the following promises to God. Download a Promise Card – respond to the abundance God has given you. Pray over the promises each week. Discuss them with family and loved ones.

1. The most valuable thing we have is God’s promise to never leave us. I will be content in all I have – whether in plenty or in want, I will choose to trust in God completely.
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through him who gives me strength.”  (Philippians 4:12-13)
2. Planning ahead and saving is what God wants me to do. I will save during times of plenty. I will plan to build God’s kingdom by spending and saving wisely.
“They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine.”  (Genesis 41:35-36)
3. Everything I have comes from God … my time, my abilities, my money. I will manage all of these things in ways that honor God.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…” (Psalm 24:1)
4. God deserves the first fruits of my life. I will give to him first, and I will tithe or work toward tithing by increasing my proportional giving each year.
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.  ‘Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.’” (Malachi 3:10)
