Disciple 1

Disciple I will be offered in 2017/2018 given sufficient interest. The course will meet either Monday or Tuesday evenings (to be determined by majority vote of class), from 7- 9:30pm at the church and will run from mid September 2017 to early June 2018 (35 weeks). The class does not meet during holiday weeks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Easter, Memorial Day) so that family plans for travel may be accommodated.

Disciple I is a study of the Bible from beginning to end. Participants read and discuss about 85% of the Bible.

If you always wanted to better understand God’s Word, with an emphasis on context (i.e. the culture and time in which it was written), this course is for you. Daily readings normally require 45 minutes a day, and there is a 2.5 hour class once a week. Attendance at class is emphasized; we ask that you expect to miss no more than 3 classes to make this worthwhile to you. Classes generally involve a lecture explaining the readings for the week, followed by interaction of the class discussing the material presented, with discussion questions provided.

To hold the class, we must have a minimum of 8 participants, and will limit the class to 15 participants, on a first come basis.
