Greg Cox

Greg Cox

As Lead Pastor of Ingomar Church, Pastor Greg provides vision, teaching, and leadership oversight of areas including Childcare/Preschool (Ingomar Child Enrichment Center), NextGen Ministry, Generosity and Administration, and Worship. He and Pastor Cyndi work together to accomplish the mission and achieve the vision of Ingomar Church.

One thing he wants you to know about Jesus: “The Call of Jesus in our lives is demanding and yet rewarding. Our lives will never be the same.”

My life verse is Hebrews 12:1-2Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Call into Ministry: February 1995 on a youth retreat as a young adult advisor

Why did you choose to work at Ingomar Church?
While pastors are appointed to the local congregations in the UMC, I have chosen to continue and ask for continued appointments because of the people.  I love who Ingomar is and the people who serve among us.  Our staff is dedicated to the work and the people of Ingomar love Jesus and want to share that love in our community and throughout the world.

What other jobs did you have before coming to Ingomar?
Before being appointed to Ingomar, I was the Director of Connectional Ministries in the Western PA Conference for 8 years.  I’ve served churches in Beaver Falls, the South Hills of Pittsburgh, and Titusville in our conference.  Before answering my call, I worked as a paralegal and other support roles in a law firm in downtown Pittsburgh.
