Bethany House

Bethany House Academy, Inc. is a nonprofit organization devoted to reducing the negative impacts of poverty and inadequate education within the community of Northview Heights in North Pittsburgh. The organization prepares children, youth, and adults academically, socially, economically, and spiritually for lifelong learning, achievement, health and prosperity. In addition, quality supplemental education is provided for preschool-age 18.

Bethany House Meals Ministry
Volunteers from Ingomar Church provide nutritious dinner meals three days per week -Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during the school year to approximately 30 children attending the afterschool program at Bethany House Academy in Northview Heights.

Volunteers (individuals or groups) are needed to prepare a meal at your own expense AND/OR transport a meal to Bethany House and serve it at 5pm approximately once per month, Mondays or Tuesdays, late October through May.

After School Program
Ingomar high school students provide homework assistance and personal interaction for approximately 30 children enrolled in the after-school program in Northview Heights.

Each Wednesday (October-May), transportation is provided for volunteers going to Bethany House Academy, leaving Ingomar Church at 3:15pm and returning at 6:00pm.
