Heart & Hand
Heart and Hand House, Inc. is a non-profit mission project affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is located in north central West Virginia. It exists because of the clear Christian mandate to minister to the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional needs of in-crisis, low-income people of Barbour County, WV.
Ministry programs include a food pantry; a home repair and construction program (the emphasis of Ingomar Church’s annual Youth Mission trip); assistance with utilities, rent, and certain medical expenses; providing layettes for newborn babies; and a backpack feeding program for local school children. The project also operates two thrift stores and The Market Place, home of our Community Garden Market.
