World Communion Sunday – On Sunday, October 2, we will resume coming forward to receive communion. We will use juice-only communion cups and our communion stewards will use gloves when cutting our bread into cubes. Communion volunteers who have sanitized their hands, will be the only hands touching the bread.
We will celebrate with Ukrainian bread on the altar to honor our brothers and sisters who long for peace. In addition, we will share the Lord’s Prayer, prayerfully hearing it spoken in Enga (the language of the people of Papua New Guinea, served by Adam Boyd, one of the missionaries we support).
Experience the mysterious presence of Jesus through our communion celebration, remembering that Jesus is present in communion celebrations throughout the world.
