Abukloi Mission (in South Sudan)

Abukloi Mission (in South Sudan)

Ingomar Church is supporting the Abukloi Secondary School in Rumbeck, South Sudan. The school was started by a United Methodist pastor and her adopted son in 2014. Angelo Maker is that adopted son and one of the Lost Boys of Sudan. He is now the executive director. Abukloi has over 700 students from 9th through 12th grade. The school is considered one of the top secondary schools in all of South Sudan.

In 2024,  Ingomar Church provided funds to hire a full-time nurse for the school and additional money to provide lunches for the students. In addition to the school, the Abukloi Foundation provides micro loans for small businesses that are started by some of the former students. South Sudan is the newest country in the world. Supporting Abukloi School is our way of being on the ground floor of helping to create this new nation through education and supporting cottage industries.
