Erin Toohey

Erin is our Member & Guest Experience Coordinator. She champions the guest experience and oversees volunteer leaders in Connect Ministry service areas.

Why did you choose to work at Ingomar?
I was looking for something that would give me more meaning in my life as well as something flexible that would allow me to put caring for our daughter at the top of the list.

What other jobs did you have before coming here?
I was a dining service manager at a retirement community in southeastern Ohio, and a general manager at our family run health food store and restaurant, Brighter Day Natural Foods.

Let’s Learn about Erin

  1. What’s your least favorite chore?
Cleaning the tub, because it kills my back.
  2. What was your favorite subject in school?
Acting, public speaking and writing (I know that’s 3!)
  3. Have you ever met anyone famous?
Harry Connick, Jr.  I even slow danced with him at one of his concerts, while his 8-piece band played for us!
  4. What kind of music do you like?
If you get into my car, you’re going to hear uplifting and inspiring contemporary Christian music or K-Love Radio.  It helps me to slow down, remember what’s important in life and inspires me to try to be a better person every day.  I also love the Grateful Dead and classic rock.
  5. Tell us about your family.
We are a small family of three along with our fur baby, Ginger, a red heeler.  Our daughter, Keely, is 15 and is bright, has a great sense of humor and is incredibly caring and empathetic.  She is also the best homemade card writer.  Eric, my husband, always finds humor in life and balances me when I’m way too serious.  He is the family chef and keeps us “fat and happy.”  I also have a daughter, Alex, who is 28 and lives in Rhode Island with her fiancé.  She’s an accomplished pastry chef and is now returning to school to pursue a nursing career.
