United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith at Ingomar Church
The International United Methodist Women have rebranded themselves as United Women in Faith. Under the leadership of the Missions Committee, United Women in Faith has come to Ingomar Church to provide opportunities to serve in hands-on mission. While the mission opportunity is organized and directed by United Women in Faith, families are welcome to participate, as well as women from outside the church who want to work together to make a difference in the world.

Disaster Relief Bucket Project
United Women in Faith is collecting and assembling disaster buckets that are used when natural disasters, such as floods and tornados occur. These buckets are shipped to the area of need to provide items that help with cleanup. We are collecting items for the buckets now and will continue throughout the summer. Everyone is encouraged to donate items. Collection bins are placed at the back of each worship area.

Here are the items that are needed:

  • Five-gallon buckets with resealable lids ā€“ free from residue but can have advertisements on the outside
  • 32-36 oz. bottle of liquid laundry detergent
  • 16-40 oz. bottle of liquid concentrate household cleaner ā€“ no spray cleaners
  • 16-34 oz. bottle dish soap
  • 4-8 oz. pump spray air freshener
  • 6-14 oz. pump spray insect repellent with lid (pack of 12 wipes also acceptable)
  • Scrub brushes
  • Re-useable cleaning wipes ā€“ no terrycloth, microfiber or paper towels
  • Scouring pads
  • Clothespins
  • 50-100 ft. clothesline (cotton or plastic)
  • 24 roll of Heavy-duty trash backs (33-45 gal.)
  • N-95 particulate respirator dust masks (1-3 mm thickness)
